![]() Windows 2000 and Windows XP had various "editions", and the product keys weren't interchangeable. I guess there could be differences that would cause this not to work on 7, but I don't see why it couldn't work. We only had to use the install server if the standard build changed or a customer requested a custom rig. Once we did an install and sealed it on a given build, we could then image it to save time, and it worked fine. ![]() I know at a place I worked as a bench tech at many years ago we had a server for installing Win2K and XP remotely, getting all the updates and such done, and then sealing it so the customer had to enter the license key and agree to the EULA. Was going to say, I'm pretty sure this is what sysprep is for. A valid product key is a valid product key. You can use sysprep and image on an OEM copy of Windows 7.
